PhD Hub Professional Development Program Mentoring & Dissertation Micro-Badge

Program Summary

This interactive workshop shares strategies and suggested approaches to help doctoral students take ownership of the doctoral experience and help them make progress toward degree completion. Additionally, the workshop aims to train graduate students in engineering and science to become more effective mentees and mentors.

Outcomes/Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants are able to:

  • Describe requirements for completing a doctoral degree.

  • Identify potential mentors.

  • Develop communication and self-management strategies.

  • Describe the broader University content and resources.

Earning Requirements

Participants must complete a self-reflection activity, synthesizing their key learnings and outlining action plans for implementation.
