Management of Technology: Business Design Badge
Program Summary
Business design is a human-centered approach to innovation that combines design principles and methods with the strategy to help organizations create new value and sustainable growth. It bridges the gap between business viability, technological feasibility, and user desirability to drive impactful solutions.
The NYU M.S. in Management of Technology program offers a series of electives in this area. Students earn the Management of Technology: Business Design badge by completing nine (9) credits of elective courses in the Business Design knowledge area. The current course offerings include:

Outcomes/Objectives
Students will develop the ability to:
Learn the principles and methods with the strategy to help organizations create new value and sustainable growth.
Learn the principles and methods of design that are now embraced by more traditional companies and management consultancies as well as entrepreneurs.
Apply business design frameworks to develop innovative solutions that align with organizational strategy and user needs.
Integrate data-driven insights and emerging technologies into the design and development of products, services, and business models.
Earning Requirements
Students must complete nine (9) credits of elective courses in the Business Design knowledge area, with a final letter grade of B or above in each course.
